The most impotant thing is to try to make a party that suits for the one the party is for.
Does the person you are making the party for like small parties, big parties? What kind of food does he/her like? Does he/she like plaing partygames, or maybe he/her prefer to watch a movie together with his/ her friends? Talk with the person or someone who knows the person well to find out this.
